Wastewater Process Operator
Job Summary
The Wastewater Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining wastewater treatment processes and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. This role requires strong attention to safety, reliability, teamwork, and customer service.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the work area is safe, compliant, and maintained at all times
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes per standard operating procedures and training
- Unload wastewater trucks (experience preferred)
- Maintain and operate site process equipment
- Identify, report, troubleshoot, and assist with repair of equipment issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Physically climb, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds in outdoor environments
- Provide professional, customer-service-oriented interaction
- Work effectively as a team player and collaborate well with others
- Be available for overtime as required by the call-out schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment or operations preferred
- Truck unloading and equipment operation experience a plus
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Dependable transportation and consistent on-time attendance required
