Role Description The Video Producer is a full-time, on-site role based in Papillion, NE. This role is responsible for planning, scripting, and producing video content that supports Union Pacific’s internal and external communications, including corporate storytelling, training materials, safety messages, and marketing initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with stakeholders to define project goals, developing production schedules, capturing video and audio, directing on-camera talent, and managing all aspects of post-production such as editing, sound design, and graphics integration. The Video Producer will maintain brand consistency across all video assets, optimize content for multiple platforms, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Collaboration with communications, marketing, and operational teams is essential, along with proactively identifying opportunities to use video to enhance engagement and understanding of key messages.
Qualifications
  • Strong video production skills, including pre-production planning, camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and basic motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
  • Ability to develop clear scripts, storyboards, and visual narratives that support corporate communication goals.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and on-camera participants.
  • Attention to detail and quality, including reviewing and refining content for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
  • Familiarity with publishing video content across digital channels (web, social media, internal platforms) and optimizing for audience engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience producing corporate, training, or safety-related video content is beneficial; knowledge of transportation or industrial environments is a plus.
