What You’ll Do
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for Union Members, guiding them step-by-step through the disability claims process
- Communicate with Members via phone and email to provide updates, answer questions, and ensure they feel informed and supported
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to request medical records and required documentation
- Review plan policies and verify eligibility for disability claims
- Prepare and submit complete claims packages to insurance carriers
- Follow up with insurance partners to track claim status and resolve outstanding items
- Manage a high-volume caseload with strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Monitor inbound communications (email, fax, and other channels) related to claims

Qualifications
- Typing speed of 50 WPM
- Experience in customer service or administrative support (healthcare, dental, insurance, or mortgage office experience a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (high school diploma or equivalent accepted)
- Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic, and professional approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid Illinois Driver’s license
