What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricer/Sorter position at Union Mission Ministries, Inc.?
Purpose: To assist in the sorting and or pricing of all items donated to Union Mission as well as assist in daily operations of the store when, where, and as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To help load and unload donations from the truck as needed.
- To sort and/or price items that will be sent back to the store to be sold (bric brac, clothing, linens, shoes, purses, belts, toys, electronics, etc.)
- Employees may be required to work any and all positions within the Thrift Store.
- Employees may be asked to work at the Thrift Store if it is necessary.
- Employees are always cross trained for other departments to fill when needed.
- To work the register when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must be flexible to move from task to task with ease.
· Must be able to work well with people.
· Must be able to handle difficult customers at the (Thrift Store) on occasion.
Credentials and Experience:
- High School graduate or Equivalent
- Experience working with people or in retail preferred.
Pay: $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
