DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research federal/state laws and agency guidelines to understand compliance requirements
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to document business processes
- Identify risks and assess the effectiveness of internal controls
- Design and execute audit testing procedures
- Communicate findings and work with business units to resolve issues
- Draft clear, concise audit reports
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure successful implementation
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of internal audit experience
- Mortgage operations experience preferred
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong interviewing and analytical skills
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
