Receptionist / Patient Account Representative Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.
- Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
- Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.
Education, Training & Experience
- Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
- Computer knowledge
- Previous EMR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
