CVOR Certified Surgical Tech II Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Scrub in all Thoracic/vascular procedures independently and pass instruments.
- Competent in COVOR equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.
- Maintain aseptic conditions and infection control protocols.
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Handle specimens and facilitate their transfer to the laboratory.
- Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.
License/Certification:
- Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program
- Must have active CST certification
- Must have active BLS certification
- Must be eligible to sit for the certification and as a new graduate has 6 months to complete.
