JOB DESCRIPTION:
Paramedics respond to to medical emergencies and deliver patient care, support, and evaluation on scene and during transport to the hospital. This generally includes assessing the patient, determining the proper emergency care, and administering treatment.
Duties
- Respond to 911 calls for emergency medical assistance, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or bandaging a wound.
- Assess a patient's condition and determine a course of treatment.
- Provide first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients.
- Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education - Graduate of approved PARAMEDIC program.
Licensure/Certification - Licensed by the State of Georgia as an Paramedic. Current CPR/BLS and valid Driver's License - a must.
