This position provides support to the packaging team by assisting with the packaging of our products while maintaining company policies and ensuring that packaging meets UNION Craft Brewing’s high-quality standards. It is essential for this position to communicate regularly and effectively with the packaging team to ensure all packaging responsibilities are fulfilled safely, efficiently, effectively, and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assist in keg cleaning and kegging of beer
- Assist in the operation of UNION Craft Brewing’s canning line and supporting equipment
- Follow packaging maintenance schedules and troubleshoot packaging equipment as needed
- Forklift operation (will provide training that results in certification)
- Follow UCB’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Clean-in-Place sanitation Procedures (CIP)
- Follow, observe, and enforce all safety rules and regulations
- Completing other tasks as needed on non packaging days
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Work well with coworkers under the direction of the canning line manager
- Adheres to and advances UNION Craft Brewing’s core values
- UNION Craft Brewing may revise or require different tasks when circumstances demand including, but not limited to, emergencies, changes in staffing, demands of other departments, workload, or rush orders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 180 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
- Able to move palletized goods exceeding 500-pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
- Able to work in a factory/production environment which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, hot
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Courteous, professional, and polished demeanor
- Communicate efficiently with team
- Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
- Flexibility in work schedule
