Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage of food items.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support catering events and special menu planning as needed.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages.
• Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food service operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn.
• Familiarity with catering services or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to develop menu planning skills within a restaurant setting.
