What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Specialist for Medicaid position at Union County School District?
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with some college or business school preferred.
- Excellent typing and computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain database for Medicaid Students
- Medicaid Transmitting and Billing
- Posting of Medicaid Check,
- Filing of Medicaid Claims of each Student for services rendered and reimbursement of that service (Psychologist, OT/PT, Nurses, and Speech Therapist)
- Check Eligibility of each Student each month
- Sort/Print/Distribute Reports to Nurses and Speech Therapist each month
- Maintain Students’ Files
- Send Child Find Letters to all Physicians, Day Cares, and Churches in July
- SNT Bus Records Updated and Kept on File for Q & A Audit
- Quality & Assurance Audit
- Request and receive OT/PT Prescriptions
- Assist Co-Workers & Other Miscellaneous Office Duties
- Answering phone calls and assisting caller with any information requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services

Salary: Determined by placement on Professional Salary Schedule
Terms of
Employment: Two Hundred Forty (240) days per year
