Position Title: Operator for Food and Nutrition Services
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to all.
- Ability to learn and follow specified food preparation, meal service, clean-up, sanitation, safety methods and established HACCP and ServSafe® guidelines.
- Ability to count, inventory, and record information accurately.
- Ability to lift and move 35 to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Successfully complete state food safety HACCP course and ServSafe® training.
Reports to: Food Service Manager or Assistant Manager (where applicable)
Performance Responsibilities:
- Perform all job assignments as directed by the Food Service Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Provide excellent customer service to everyone including students, parents, staff, administration, co-workers, and all other customers.
- Assist with daily food preparation, service, and clean-up.
- Adhere to assigned work times and schedules unless directed otherwise by the Food Service Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Attend and participate in planned training activities (meetings, sessions, seminars, etc.) as assigned.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the Food and Nutrition Services Office and Union County School Board of Trustees.
- Other duties assigned by Food Service Manager or Assistant Manager.
Job duties include but are not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting (including wrists), reaching below and overhead, standing for extended periods of time, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and working in both hot, humid and cold or below zero temperature environments for an unspecified amount of time.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
