Duties
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as mixers, conveyors, grinders, and pellet mills to produce animal feed.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
- Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of the mill area, ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper storage of materials.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing or food processing environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with farming, agriculture, or food production processes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including grinders, conveyors, pellet mills, or similar machinery.
