The expected rate for this position is $40-45 per hour

Essential Responsibilities And Duties
- Plans academic year offerings, including topics, time frames, and medium (in person, online, hybrid)
- Recruits instructors and develops and delivers instructor training to ensure engaging learning experiences.
- Markets opportunities (in collaboration with admissions and communications/marketing) and recruits students.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive assessment plan for the program, including formative and summative assessments of individual offerings and overall program effectiveness. This includes defining learning outcomes, selecting appropriate assessment methods, and analyzing assessment data to inform program improvement.
- Researches and makes informed decisions on credentialing options, including digital badges and certificates, aligned with industry standards and student needs.
- Operates in conjunction with a cross-departmental steering committee, and collaborates with relevant departments and administrative offices to ensure program alignment with college goals, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and manages program budget.
- Contributes ideas, input, and support to Union academic affairs initiatives, decisions, communications, and other activities with academic offering implications. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of co-curricular trends and innovations.
- A combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Experience in higher education, preferably with undergraduate-focused institutions.
- Experience with and contacts in the business community of the Capital District.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and instructional design for undergraduate learners, with a deep understanding of how students learn and how to structure meaningful, effective learning experiences across modalities (in-person, online, hybrid). Must be able to align learning outcomes with assessments and design competency-based learning experiences, including skills mapping, to support student success.
- Experience in designing and delivering instructor training on effective teaching practices across modalities, including active learning techniques, science of attention and cognitive load, assessment strategies, and other evidence-based approaches to online and residential instruction.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and other educational technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation of complex projects. PMP certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
- The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of students, supervisees, and fellow staff colleagues.
- Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
