Are you a hands-on leader with experience in manufacturing or production? We're looking for a Lead Press Operator to join our team in Uxbridge, MA and take charge of daily operations in our plant. This role is key to driving efficiency, safety, and product quality on the production floor. If you're mechanically inclined, passionate about leadership, and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and adjust equipment, including mixers, presses, and packaging systems
- Ensure all paving stone products meet company quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate production documentation
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of operator trainees
- Enforce safety standards and promote a clean, organized work environment
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
- Complete daily production reports and maintenance logs
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to improve processes and maintain quality
- Participate in team discussions to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Support the Plant Manager and perform additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2 years of experience in machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting
- Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and adjust equipment
- Strong teamwork and a self-driven work ethic
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to safety
- Strong Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, and reaching
