Unilock, North America's premier manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining walls for over 50 years, is currently seeking a Customer Operations Coordinator at our Chester, NY Yard.
The Customer Operations Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring accurate order processing, timely documentation, and exceptional customer service. This role supports daily operations by managing order entry, coordinating transfers, processing change orders, maintaining records, and assisting customers with inquiries, ensuring a seamless customer experience. You will have the opportunity to bring your energy to a high-performing team and work collaboratively with both our office and yard team members.
What you'll do
- Answer telephone calls and satisfy customer requests with a friendly demeanor and a willingness to help at all times
- Support retail customers and contractors with their purchases by applying product knowledge (calculating required square footage), handling order entry, and addressing any future inquiries that arise
- Retrieve hand-selected product samples from the designated sample area and load them into customers' vehicles
- Process credit card transactions and reconcile payments received
- Confirm orders for invoice processing and posting
- Perform random tractor-trailer checks to ensure load accuracy before delivery
- Participate in and assist with cycle counting throughout the year, as well as yearly full yard counts
- Navigate our internal system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) to provide information to customers and coworkers on a regular basis.
What you need to succeed
- Exceptional customer service skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have sound problem-solving skills to effectively handle customer objections and questions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic skills with an e-tablet
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and address projects and work processes
- Ability to read and comprehend all shipping-related documents and perform basic math
- Ability to distinguish product colors, color blends, and product bundle configurations
- Requires standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

- Professional and courteous behavior with a cheerful outlook in ALL situations.

- Pay: $22–$24 per hour (based on experience)
