Job Overview:
Provide comprehensive support for all information technology related issues about manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include the maintenance and backup of all equipment data, assistance with installing new equipment, and execution of software and firmware upgrades. Ensure meticulous record-keeping and strive to enhance process efficiency through automation. Additionally, it supports any hardware or software requirements for engineering system upgrades. This position reports directly to the Equipment/Process Engineering Manager at Unigen, Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Responding to inquiries.
- Provide support to all engineering activities related to equipment, processes, and technology.
- Support engineering in IT processes and systems.
- Assist with system configuration changes for evolving business processes.
- Assist in shopfloor improvement process and data collection
2. Troubleshooting.
- Help engineering with hardware and software issues related to manufacturing equipment.
- Walk engineering through solving problems or gathering information for steps to reproduce.
3. Communicating feedback
- Share customer, equipment manufacturer, and contractor feedback with the appropriate internal engineering team members regarding equipment and system upgrades.
- Identify and document common issues with software and suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Document steps taken or lessons learned for internal knowledge base references.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, network administration, or other related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or related field.
- Systems and application support experience Google Workspace and Microsoft
- The ability to quickly pick up and adapt to new software and systems is essential.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Electronics Manufacturing industry environment is advantageous.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
