Job Function: Quality Control/Assurance
Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector performs Incoming, Final and other types of quality inspection to ensure adherence of finished product to compliance requirements and procedures. Reports to Manufacturing Quality Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Perform inspections :
1. Perform Quality inspections on product and materials as defined by work instruction, customer requirements, drawing, datasheet and engineering instruction
2. Ensure process and product compliance with ISO 900X, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 standards
3. Validate workmanship adherence to IPC- 610 and IPC-600 as well as other defined criteria
4. Perform final inspection on finished product to ensure full compliance to required standards prior to shipment to end customer
5. Understand and apply sampling plans
6. Validate quality of incoming materials using defined criteria
Execute written/verbal instructions given by supervisor and monitor efficiency and quality of assigned routine tasks :
1. Read and follow work instructions and visual aids
2. Check and inspect task results against predetermined standards
3. Identify, communicate, and escalate production issues and problems
Monitor and operate critical equipment and instrumentation :
1. Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection in approving or rejecting final assemblies
2. Record inspection results as required
3. Support shop floor control systems
4. Compose NCR for non-conforming material
5. Perform transactions in ERP software
Provide team support :
1. Demonstrate work methods to new hires,
2. Share best practices, assist in minor troubleshooting
3. Actively participate in cross-training
Other tasks and duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
1. Minimum High School Diploma;
2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in First Article, In-Process, FQA, or Receiving Inspection in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment;
