What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Unify Payroll?

Though we are a CPA firm, we don’t do audits, and our focus isn’t just tax. We provide ongoing strategic business advice to our clients throughout the year on a subscription basis. We get involved in everything from tax planning to menu items. That makes this role a customer-facing position, continually involved in our clients’ businesses.
Our Staff Accountants:
- Assist with processing client financial information
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
- Assist with client projects
- Prepare sales tax returns
- Prepare 1099s
- Prepare general correspondence and reports.
Requirements Include:
- Associates Degree in Business or equivalent learning; Bachelors Degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, with general knowledge of payroll and sales taxes a huge plus
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office products
- A unique aptitude for figures and problem-solving
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- A love for serving small businesses, small business owners, and their team.

The pay for this position is $40,000 - $65,000 annualized, depending on relevant experience.
