Position Overview
The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing all security operations, ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and leading a large team of security personnel. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, helping to shape operational policies, strengthen security programs, and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all security operations across multiple sites.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of security personnel.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments, site evaluations, and security audits.
- Manage emergency response planning, incident investigations, and corrective action processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments on operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Analyze security data and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field Preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in security operations, must have law enforcement, or military experience
- Proven experience managing large teams and multi-site operations.
- Strong understanding of security regulations, licensing, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents professionally.
- Proficiency with security technologies, incident reporting systems, and operational software.
- Professional certifications such as Class D and G security license. C and MB license preferred
