What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volleyball Coach position at Unified Volleyball East?
Unified East is seeking passionate and dedicated Volleyball Coaches to support various areas of our program, including summer camps, in-season team coaching, and administrative support. We are looking for coaches who may be interested in all aspects of the role or just specific portions, depending on availability.
Whether you’re looking to coach summer camps only, club teams during the season, or be involved year-round, we’d love to connect.
Opportunities Available
Coaches may choose to be involved in one or more of the following:
Summer Camps (June–August, evenings)
- Lead and assist with skill-based training sessions focused on athlete development and engagement
Club Team Coaching (December 2026 – June 2027)
- 2 practices per week
- Weekend tournaments
- Attendance at position training sessions on weekends without tournaments
Administrative Support
- Assist with program organization, communication, and event coordination
Responsibilities (based on role involvement)
- Design and implement training plans that emphasize skill progression, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game IQ
- Lead practices, drills, and conditioning sessions
- Teach volleyball strategies, rules, and techniques
- Evaluate player development and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive, competitive, and respectful team culture
- Collaborate with coaching staff and leadership on program operations
- Communicate effectively with athletes and families
Compensation
- $20/hour for all training, practices, camps, and team activities

Qualifications
- Prior volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals
- Ability to manage and motivate athletes in a positive environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, organized, and committed to athlete development
