Location/Schedule: Byron, GA / Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components.
- Select, install, and verify appropriate tooling and dies for each job. (program)
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine bend sequence and requirements.
- Assist Monitor machine operation to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake equipment. Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications.
- Identify and report material, tooling, or machine issues to supervision.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production or equipment issues.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Who You Are:
- Ability to pass a tape measure test.
- Proven experience operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of press brake machinery, tooling, and dies.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and take precise measurements.
- Familiarity with various metals and their properties.
- Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
- Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated heights when necessary.
- Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity to inspect welds and materials.
