Pay, Benefits & Perks
- $6,000 - Hiring Bonus - (paid in installments over 12 months)
- Potential for higher starting pay based on prior BLE Certified experience;
- Salary Range $59,287 - $80,212.
- Full-time, permanent position with health, retirement, and paid leave

Schedule & Expectations
- 12-hour shifts (7:45 to 7:45) – fixed days or nights
- Includes weekends and holidays
- Emergency-response role—you’ll be called in during community emergencies
- Must pass background, physical fitness, and certification requirements

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What You’ll Need to Bring:
We’re looking for people who care about their community and are ready to step up and serve.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
High school diploma or GED— or a mix of education, training, and experience that shows you’re ready for this role.- U.S. Citizenship
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current POST certification under the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Act
- Ability to qualify and requalify with your service weapon twice a year after certification
- GCIC Security & Awareness Training (must be completed within 10 days of hire)
- First Aid & CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)
- Basic Jail Certification Course(within 6 months of hire)
If You’re Assigned to Special Roles:
Depending on your assignment, some additional training may be required:
- Transport Unit (Bus Driver): Must have a Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement
- Field Section: Complete the court or field training program within 3 months
- Jail Section: Complete the jail training core modules within 2 months
Corporal Rank if You have:
- At least 2 years of law enforcement related experience.
