Position Overview
At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), Security Technicians are vital to delivering safety and security solutions in the field. You’ll install, service, and maintain CCTV systems to meet client needs and ensure reliable performance. With your technical expertise and field experience, you help protect what matters most—while supporting UDHG’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Installation, Service & Repair
- Install, program, service, and troubleshoot electronic security systems including Access Control, IP Video, Intrusion, Intercom, and Camera systems
- Install and service IP cameras and associated network components
- Install and integrate electrified hardware and integrated locksets
- Perform system testing and ensure proper operation prior to project completion
- Work with Project Managers to complete jobs accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Technical Knowledge
- Be familiar with security systems including but not limited to: (Software House, Brivo, S2, RS2, Kantech, Keyscan, Salto, ButterflyMX, Axis, Hanwha, EagleEye, Turing, Verkada, Cloudvue, and Exacq)
- Knowledge of integrated locksets
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
- Complete required daily paperwork including time sheets, service reports, and work orders
- Maintain proper care and maintenance of company tools, equipment, and supplies
Communication
- Communicate effectively with our customers and PM Team
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Field Labor and corporate objectives
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems (Access Control, Video, Intrusion, Intercom)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Security installation, cabling, and/or service
- Access control installation and programming
- IP video installation and service
- Proficient in Access Control installation and programming
- Proficient in IP Video installation and programming
- Knowledge of IP networking and camera systems
- Knowledge of integrated locksets and electrified hardware
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
