Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to support business strategy, marketing optimization, customer engagement, and product growth. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the music industry, as domain-specific knowledge can bring valuable perspectives. However, we also welcome strong candidates from marketing analytics and e-commerce data science backgrounds, as these skill sets are equally transferable and beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement statistical and machine learning models to analyze consumer behavior, marketing campaigns, and product performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, sales, and operations) to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, and advanced predictive analytics to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and automate dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor KPIs and business health.
• Apply customer segmentation, recommendation systems, churn analysis, and personalization techniques to improve audience engagement.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, marketing technology, and industry trends (music, e-commerce, or digital platforms).
• Translate complex data findings into clear and actionable business recommendations.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3-6 years preferred) as a Data Scientist, preferably in the music industry, marketing analytics, or e-commerce domain.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Expertise in SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Solid understanding of marketing metrics, customer lifecycle analytics, A/B testing, and attribution modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience in the music industry, digital streaming platforms, or media analytics.
• Familiarity with recommendation engines, personalization algorithms, or audio content analytics.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop).
• Knowledge of NLP, deep learning, or multimodal data science techniques.
