Field Application Engineer

SUMMARY:

The Field Application Engineer will assist the sales team in winning new designs by providing detailed technical design assistance. This position will act as a visionary for product and technology directions/roadmaps while assisting Account Managers with issues and/or sales presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide hands on technical assistance to customers and partners
• Provide technical consultation to prospective clients
• Develop solution Bill of Materials (BOMs) for Prototype solutions
• Act as technical liaison between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customers 
• Learn about Company’s business as appropriate. Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.

Job-Specific Competencies:

(Education and/or years of experience; technical and/or analytical; software or applications; department and/or position specific; internal or external certifications required)

• A BS degree in technology or related field is required with 4-year technical work experience, or 7-year technical work experience.
• Minimum of 2 minor or 1 major certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Basic knowledge of the Information Technology industry and technical skills requirements of positions. 
• In depths knowledge of Intel based server solutions and related technologies
• Good working knowledge of Networking and Storage technologies and solutions
• Employee must understand in detail of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office software packages.
• Employee will at all times maintain a pleasant and service-oriented demeanor in dealing with customers and convey a sincere concern to the customer for the satisfaction of the customer’s business needs. 
• Employee will always attend to customer requirements as the first priority among all of his/her work requirements.
• Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.

Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
