Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Engineer to join our construction management team. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate project activities, manage documentation, and support construction projects from inception through completion. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software to ensure timely project delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to coordinate daily activities, track progress, and update project plans regularly.
- Prepare and review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to support project execution.
- Support cost management efforts by analyzing Excel data for budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and civil engineering project management tools to streamline documentation and communication.
- Monitor contract compliance by reviewing contractual documents and supporting contract administration processes.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders by preparing reports, meeting minutes, and project updates that clearly articulate project status and issues.
- Assist in procurement activities including construction estimating and bid analysis to support project planning.
- Participate in site visits to gain construction experience and ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements.
- Support project scheduling, planning, and coordination efforts to optimize resource allocation and time management across multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling, and cost management techniques.
- Familiarity with civil engineering project management software and construction industry standards.
- Hands-on construction site experience demonstrating understanding of construction plans and field operations.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret Excel data for reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated ability in project coordination, scheduling software utilization, and contract administration.
- Effective time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for education.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.
