Job Description:

UNICO Systems Integration team is looking to expand and has a role available for a Junior Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer. Please note that UNICO focuses on civil and transit fields for Systems Integration; this is not an IT-related position.

Systems integration is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management that focuses on designing, integrating, and managing complex systems to ensure they meet technical and performance requirements and can be demonstrated as safe and ready to operate.

The position supports project teams with systems engineering-related tasks and administrative activities, including requirements management, RAM, V&V, and interface management. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure the Requirements Management tool and processes are up to date and available to audit throughout the life of the project. They shall maintain tracking logs (submittal logs, Requests for Information (RFI) logs, approved changes) in the Requirements Management tool. The candidate will be involved in performing V&V of rail civil and systems designs to ensure compliance and in preparing reports under the guidance of senior staff.

The successful candidate shall have:

• Be able to work in the office
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to work as an integral part of a team.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Quality writing and communication skills.
• Experience with requirements management and related tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama), generating traceability in the requirements management tool is a benefit, but not required.
• Certification in or familiarity with INCOSE Systems Engineering Principles.

Qualifications:

• Requires 0- 5 years of direct related experience.
• Degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
