Product Line Manager

Position Summary:

The Product Line Manager – Airframes is responsible for delivering in-depth market analysis, technical support, and pricing strategies to drive revenue and profitability from the company’s airframe material portfolio. This role supports the sales organization in monetizing owned airframe assets, while also engaging in the evaluation, valuation, and procurement of aircraft and surplus material packages. The position involves strategic purchasing based on market demand, and requires collaboration with internal stakeholders including the Director of Airframe Product Lines, Sales VPs, global Account Managers, and supplier-facing departments. A strong understanding of the commercial aircraft parts aftermarket—particularly availability, demand, and valuation—is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate whole assets for acquisition and define strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
• Manage disassembly processes, coordinate drop shipments, and select component repair stations to optimize cost and turnaround time (TAT)
• Ensure that materials are properly certified and readily available to support sales efforts
• Maintain current and competitive pricing structures for managed material
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Focus on aging inventory and drive redeployment of capital to acquire newer, high-value assets
• Assist the Director of Product Lines in preparing forecasts, valuations, and supporting documentation for internal approval boards (Commercial Review Board, CFO, CEO)
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms aligned with company return targets (ROI/IRR)
• Help build and manage a team of Strategic Buyers to inform purchasing decisions through market intelligence and internal demand data
• Report monthly on material sales performance and provide updates on acquired inventory against sales targets

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation material and sales roles
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with existing and prospective buyers and sellers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of asset management and contract negotiation processes including LOIs and Sales & Purchase Agreements (SPAs)
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills across multiple concurrent opportunities
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Technical, Repairs, and Strategic Purchasing teams
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field

Travel:

• Travel is required to attend conferences and meet with customers or suppliers, as needed by the Executive team

Language:

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Physical Demands:

• Work Environment: 90% office / 10% shop floor (including visits to repair stations and teardown facilities)

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to partner repair stations or teardown sites
