Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to deliver products across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting shipments, completing necessary documentation, and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist in warehouse activities such as moving inventory or organizing stock when not on delivery routes.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures and inventory handling.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols related to moving goods.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
