Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support. This position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various office technologies.
Duties
- Greet visitors and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
- Manage phone systems, including answering calls, directing inquiries, and taking messages as needed.
- Support team members with administrative tasks to enhance productivity.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
- Removals and transfers
- Lifting of deceased human remains
- Delivery of flowers, caskets, urn, photos and other personal keepsakes or mementos of client families
- Assists with funeral services by:
- Ushering
- Driving funeral vehicles
- Assisting at chapel and church services
- Assisting at the cemetery
Requirements
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with phone systems.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift more than 75 pounds
- This job requires you to go up and down flights of stairs throughout the day
