Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensure proper maintenance of all material moving equipment including sit down fork, stand up fork, cherry picker, pallet jacks and sanitation equipment.
- Diagnose problems related to motors, drive brakes, and electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Tear down, repair and reassemble equipment.
- Inspect, remove, and replace defective components and/or parts.
- Perform proper maintenance programs on equipment.
- Identify and correct minor problems before they develop into a breakdown.
- Use of appropriate power and hand tools
- Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed.
- Keep accurate records of parts used for inventory control and order with approvals, as required.
- Communicate with supervisor/manager daily regarding changes or problems with equipment.
- Clean work area/warehouse and equipment.
- Other duties as required by management.
- Understanding of Safety guidelines.
- Warehouse/Operations preferred.
- Ability to select at a rate established by the department.
- Must provide own hand tools (complete journeymen toolbox)
- Three to five years of trade school or equivalent material handling equipment maintenance experience
- Must have electrical knowledge of AC/DC controls, PMC controls, EV1, and EV100
- Must have knowledge of hydraulics.
- Must have knowledge of welding and power tools.
- Must be flexible to perform general building maintenance as required by management
