What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIC Nutritionist/Dietitian position at UNFHCC - Erie County WIC Program?
Please note that the RD/RDN credential is not required for this position. A 4 -year degree in nutrition is required.
WIC nutritionist job duties include but are not limited to:
Screening applicants for nutritional risk and determining eligibility for the WIC program
Completing nutrition interviews with clients, providing appropriate education, and setting nutritional goals
Performing anthropometric measurements and hemoglobin screening on infants, children, and adults
Determining need for additional services and providing referrals for other programs and community resources
Required:
Must have 4-year degree in human nutrition
Must have access to vehicle and possess current driver’s license, staff regularly travels to different clinic sites including rural locations throughout Erie County
Must have strong customer service skills and cultural openness, willingness to work with people from any cultural background or situation
