Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the installation of spray foam insulation on residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers; inspect surfaces for proper adhesion and cleanliness before application
- Operate and maintain spray foam equipment, including airless paint sprayers and other power tools, ensuring optimal performance throughout each project
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine insulation requirements and installation procedures
- Supervise team members in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other fabrication equipment to ensure quality workmanship
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as carpentry, roofing, HVAC, masonry, plastering, stucco, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, construction painting, and schematic reading to coordinate project timelines
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
- Assist in estimating material needs by reviewing blueprints and project plans; support procurement of supplies including spray foam materials and necessary tools
- Perform quality control checks throughout each phase of installation; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize delays
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, safety incidents, and progress reports for project records
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry, roofing or masonry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics accurately
- Hands-on experience operating spray foam equipment along with familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., caulking guns), power tools (e.g., drills), fabrication equipment, scaffolding setups, and safety gear
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is highly advantageous
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance
- Familiarity with building codes related to insulation installation and construction painting practices is preferred
- Knowledge of construction materials such as stucco, caulking compounds, trim carpentry components, concrete finishing tools, masonry supplies and schematics for various trades
