What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Underwater Mechanix Services LLC?
Most companies talk about safety after something goes wrong.
We’re looking for someone who thinks about it before work even starts.
Underwater Mechanix (UMX) is hiring a Safety Manager for marine construction and commercial dive operations in Jacksonville, FL.
This role isn’t built for someone who wants to sit behind a desk checking boxes.
We’re looking for the kind of leader who:
- walks a project and sees risks others miss
- can challenge assumptions regardless of title
- earns field respect through competence, not volume
- understands that operational excellence and safety are inseparable
Federal work. Marine construction. Dive operations. Real environments where leadership matters.
If you’ve built systems that hold up in the field — not just on paper — let’s talk.
