Founding Product Design Lead

Shape transformative learning experiences for vocational students and educators while establishing design practices at a mission-driven startup.

Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Experience Design

Architect intuitive interfaces across web/mobile platforms serving:

• Learners: Course progress dashboards, AI-enhanced study tools
• Educators: Class management systems with automated insights
• Partners: Healthcare institution reporting portals

System & Process Leadership

Establish/maintain design ops including:

• Component libraries scaling across 5 product surfaces
• User research cadence (weekly prototype testing)
• Cross-functional handoff protocols with engineering

Data-Informed Creation

Validate solutions through:

• Mixed-method research (NPS surveys usability labs)
• A/B testing key flows (e.g., course enrollment conversion)
• Behavioral analytics (Amplitude/Mixpanel integration)

Collaboration Model

• Partner with PMs on quarterly roadmap planning
• Co-create engineering specs for complex interactions
• Present design rationale to C-suite using business-impact framing

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5 years shipping consumer-facing products (EdTech/healthtech bonus)
• Portfolio demonstrating: Systems thinking across iOS/web ecosystems
• Portfolio demonstrating: Research-driven iteration (include case studies)
• Portfolio demonstrating: Technical collaboration (Figma/Storybook workflow examples)
