What You’ll Do
Step into a hands-on role supporting attorneys and clients with essential trust and estate administration work, including:
- Preparing probate and administration petitions
- Drafting estate and trust accountings, receipts, and releases
- Preparing asset inventories and valuations
- Assisting executors with marshaling and managing probate assets
- Preparing federal and state estate tax returns
- Supporting trust administration and fiduciary accounting
- A two- or four-year degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Minimum of three years of current Trusts & Estates paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of probate procedures, Surrogate’s Court practice, and fiduciary income tax returns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and professional workstyle
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with HotDocs and FAS accounting system is a plus
