Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an excavation specialist located in Alexander City, AL. You will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, performing excavation tasks, and maintaining used equipment. Day-to-day tasks include safely and efficiently operating machinery, conducting routine maintenance on equipment, and assisting with excavation and construction projects.
This candidate will regularly operate and maintain company owned skid steers, mid-sized excavators, bulldozers, etc. Mulching, land clearing, road development, and site prep are all part of expected duties. Having a CDL is a big plus.
The ability to think ahead, plan your tasks, and be self reliant is critical. You will not be managed day to day but your results will be. Good communication is mandatory. The right candidate will really love this job.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Equipment Operation and Heavy Equipment use
- Experience with Equipment Maintenance and upkeep
- Knowledge and skills in Excavation and construction practices
- Ability to manage and maintain Used Equipment
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation
- CDL highly beneficial
