What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales & Design Consultant position at Under the Roof Furniture Store?
What You’ll Do
- Greet and engage customers with warmth and professionalism
- Guide clients through the furniture selection process to find styles, fabrics, and layouts that suit their home and lifestyle
- Offer design advice using photos, room measurements, and samples
- Build and maintain customer relationships from first visit through delivery
- Create quotes and sales orders accurately using our POS system
- Follow up on special orders and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain showroom presentation — help with floor moves, tagging, and merchandising
- Participate in training sessions with vendors to stay current on products and trends
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in home design and decorating
- Strong communication and people skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and team spirit
- Comfortable learning product lines and working with sales systems
- Prior experience in furniture, design, or retail sales is a plus — but we’ll train the right person
Projected Total Compensation: $17.00 - $30.31 per hour
