Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Companion to provide non-medical support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will help improve the client’s quality of life by assisting with daily activities, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and social interaction
- Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying up)
- Help with meal preparation and basic nutrition needs
- Provide medication reminders (non-medical)
- Assist with errands and grocery shopping
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Monitor client wellbeing and report changes to family or supervisor
- Support mobility and daily routines as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
