What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADL Care Companion position at Unconditional Care Senior Services?
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Companion to provide non-medical support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and help ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying up)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Provide reminders for medications (no administration)
- Assist with errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Document daily activities and report any concerns to management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Requirements:
- Must complete all required state and company trainings
- Ability to follow care plans and company policies
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
