Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
• Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner to ensure excellent service and build lasting relationships
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions, processing cash and card payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage stations, and seating areas to meet food safety standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling baked goods or light snacks while adhering to food safety protocols
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Follow proper food handling procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service, with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient retail transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively under pressure
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours effectively
• Previous café or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
