Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashers to thoroughly clean and sanitize all cookware, utensils, glassware, and serving equipment following strict food safety sanitizing procedures
• Assist with food packing, portioning, and organizing supplies for events or service periods
• Support the event crew by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and service areas
• Follow food handling protocols to ensure proper storage, labeling, and sanitation of ingredients and prepared items
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of boxes, equipment, or supplies safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by cleaning workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas regularly
• Support with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including slicing, chopping with knife skills, and assembling ingredients for event service

Experience

• Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous
• Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or food prep tools is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members
