Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of menu items, focusing on pizza creation, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations by adhering to food safety management protocols and sanitation standards
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery
- Follow all safety standards in food production to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting ingredient substitutions or new recipes based on current trends and customer preferences
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on food preparation or culinary tasks
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and safety standards in production environments
- Proven ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with food industry best practices related to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety management
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
