Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, floats, and other frozen desserts with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, including proper food handling and storage
- Assist customers with selections, upselling additional items like toppings or beverages to enhance their experience
- Manage cash handling duties including cashiering, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Restock supplies, clean workstations, and ensure the dining area is tidy and welcoming for guests
- Follow food safety protocols to uphold health standards in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required—training will be provided!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in a quick service & fast food restaurant or café environment is advantageous
- Basic kitchen experience or grocery store familiarity is beneficial for understanding food industry standards
