Job Summary

USA is an independent, non-classroom based Charter School in Del Norte County California that is nearing its 20th year of operation, and that serves over 300 Tk-9th grade students. USA has recently been admitted into the El Dorado County Office of Education's Charter SELPA, and is working to create its own Special Education Program for the 2026/27 School Year. The school is seeking experienced and dynamic Special Education professionals to assist in developing, implementing and supporting this new program. The school is recruiting staff to fill the positions of School Psychologist/Counselor/Student Services Coordinator, Education Specialist, Speech Therapist, and Registered Behavior Technician. This posting is for a combined role of School Psychologist/School Counselor/Student Services Coordinator. The School Psychologist / Counselor / Student Services Coordinator, will be under the direct supervision of both the Principal/Executive Director and the Special Education Director, and will adhere to applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the state, county, and the school governing board. The School Psychologist/Counselor/Student Services Coordinator provides psychological and counseling services to students, including psycho-educational assessment for the identification of special education eligibility and services, IEP related counseling services, general education counseling services, coordination of Section 504 Accommodation plans and other student services functions. This position is eligible for CalSTRS retirement and private health insurance coverage.
