About the Job:
The Certified Medical Assistant II provides routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other healthcare team members in an outpatient clinic setting.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
- α) Performing rooming and/or intake process, collecting data, including vital signs, height, weight, and data related to patient's reason for visit.
- β) Collecting patient and family data, including medical and social history.
- γ) Reviewing patient's current medication list, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
- δ) Assisting the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- ε) Collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy.
- ζ) Administering medications under the direction of a provider.
- η) Performing tests, such as EKG and eye exams, under the direction of a provider.
- θ) Maintaining exam and treatment rooms, ensuring they contain appropriate supplies, equipment, forms, and educational materials.
About You:
- I. You possess at least one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
- II. You demonstrate possession of the competencies outlined in the Medical Assistant, Certified Advancement Worksheet through your application and interview.
- III. You have a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, demonstrating effective interpersonal skills.
