Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing all applications using Echo software in addition to routine procedures. Prepares CV's of all new applicants to go to the Board. Assists with orientation and tours for new providers.
- Coordinates with the UNC centralized credentialling office to achieve primary source verification as required.
- Responsible for the timely maintenance of DEA, Malpractice Insurance Certificates and Physician Acknowledgment Statements.
- Assists with the reappointment process of the Medical Staff in accordance with established reappointment mechanism as stated in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
- Responsible for the timeliness of posting hospital sponsored Medical Staff CME credits, meeting attendances and other credentialing data.
- Responsible for the timely querying and modem transmittals to the National Practitioner Data Bank. Assists with monitoring for compliance with JCAHO standards by maintaining and improving credentialing procedures.
- Maintains Provider On-Line Call Schedule Database including call schedules, addresses, phone numbers, fax roster, privileges list, etc.
