Acute Care Surgery Per-Diem Opportunity with UNC Rex in Raleigh, NC
North Carolina Surgery at Raleigh is actively seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon to join their practice. This is a per-diem position within a well-established, community-focused surgical practice providing high-quality care to adult patients across a broad range of general surgical needs.

Position Highlights
- Per-diem, inpatient acute care surgery role
- Rotating 12hr Shifts- either 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- Physician is expected to stay in-house during their shift, with no outpatient presence.
- Depending on the needs of the service and physician availability these may be weekday, weekend or Holiday shifts
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
- Active North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience preferred with interest in acute care procedures

Education Requirements:
- Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- DEA;MD
- BLS
- Prefer prior hospitalist experience.
- Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.REASONING ABILITYHigh-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNorth Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
