What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist- Weekends/Part-time position at UNC Health Southeastern?
POSITION SUMMARY: Functions as clerical support in Medical Imaging by assisting the Technical Staff and Medical Staff by placing orders into the Radiology Computer system, greeting and registering patients, processing exams in the RIS, making copies of CD’s, sending out reports, scheduling patients, screening patients for exams, calling patients to remind them of their appointments.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate proficiency in typing 25 words per minute.
Preferred: Two years of experience within a Medical Facility preferred.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Ability to deal with stressful conditions and still maintain a high degree of guest related behavior.
- Must be able to do multiple tasks with near perfect accuracy.
- Must know how to operate or learn to use a telephone, CRT, keyboard, typewriter, panoramascope, barcode label, automatic film processor, wheelchair and stretchers.
